Bebe:
-Bebe is a recording artist and songwriter, has worked with Pete Wentz -Echoes Sam’s sentiments; Has had experience with producers in the recording studio crossing a line. Friendliness can be taken for flirtatiousness. Bebe admits that it is difficult to be a friend and professional with men in these settingsQuestion for Bebe, recording artist and songwriter:
How do you balance being “too sexy” with the amount of attractiveness that an artist needs? How do you find that balance? I was in a band with Pete Wentz, and at the time loved to wear heels, glitter, corsets, etc. The guys in the band told me to not be so sexual. Marketing Director Eric Wong at IDJ told me that girls “hated” (were jealous of me) because I was in a band with Wentz (the heartthrob). Wong felt that I was “too hot” and needed to be more of a girl-next-door. Monitor how you present yourself in order to be relatable to others, while still being authentic and genuine to yourself [Sam also echoes sentiments of being true to yourself]. You have to step outside the box, put yourself in a music executive’s shoes to see how they perceive you, the product. “Paint your own canvas.” Understand that you are a product, but don’t be a complete puppet just because you want to please everyone.
Is the business side of the industry gender-biased? Are there ways to navigate this? It takes time to own yourself, to learn how to stand up for yourself.
Do you have to constantly remind people of what the “fine line” is between professionalism and unprofessionalism? Yes – you have different needs as a woman. Guys will not understand this, you must explain. (References being on tour and needing a shower more often than the boys)
Is there a very small window of “attractiveness” for female stars? What is it? Do what you want. Unless you want to be a pop star. (Source: womeninmusic.org)

Bebe Rexha - Problem Child (feat. Ezon)
PROBLEM CHILD Written by: Bebe Rexha
She was a problem child, misunderstood, never did any good Always running wild, her lonely heart beat in the darkest of nights.
And all she ever wanted was a home, she could call her own. And all she ever wanted was a home, to belong.
To belong (3x)
She was a problem child, misunderstood, never did any good Always running wild, her lonely heart beat in the darkest of nights.
And all she ever wanted was a home, she could call her own. And all she ever wanted was a home, to belong.
To belong (3x)
